“Our mission statement at the Greater Youth Christian
Academy is to provide experiences for the whole child that enrich and support
their need for academic, spiritual, cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and
creative development.”
Our Spiritual principles taught at the Greater Youth
Christian Academy are “Bible based”. There is daily bible study, praise
and worship, character building and chapel service daily. The Greater
Youth Christian Academy plants the following seed, expecting a harvest for the
glory of God: “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he
will not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6.
Training is a lifelong principle that must take place at
home first; whereby, the Greater Youth Christian Academy is an extension of
that. What children do during their formative years will remain a part of

Overview
The Greater Youth Christian Academy is a private Christian preparatory school
where children are molded to achieve greatness through a focus on the “whole
child” - spiritually, academically, artistically and technologically.
Founded in 2000 by Dr. Denise L. Folks, Principal and CEO, currently serves
six-weeks through eighth grade students. In addition, the Greater Youth
Christian Academy plans to extend its program through the twelfth grade over the
next few years.
The Greater Youth Christian Academy offers small class
sizes, experienced teachers, and a unique academic program that achieves a
balance of core subjects, technology and extracurricular activities.
The Greater Youth Christian Academy is a member school of
the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
 
Chapel
To reinforce Christian principles, the Greater Youth Christian Academy students
study the Bible daily and, meet daily for Chapel services. The entire
school worships together during Chapel, where the host class learns and
demonstrates planning, leadership and communication skills by leading the praise
and worship services.
 
Faculty
The exceptional achievements of our students are due to our outstanding and
dedicated faculty. Sculptors of young minds and spirits. The Greater
Youth Christian Academy’s full-time instructors have bachelor's , master’s and
doctoral degrees and are certified through ACSI.
 
Curriculum
As great sculptors, the Greater Youth Christian Academy teachers use a
variety of methods to mold students. Our curriculum is a combination of
Biblical studies and academic subjects including mathematics, computer science,
science, health, physical education, social sciences, language arts, foreign
language as well as performing and visual arts.
